Who am I?

I’m Pelin, an industrial designer based in Istanbul, Turkey. I design joyful products, experiences and product-user interactions. I love telling visual stories through my designs.

About Me

Hello, I'm Pelin. I'm an inquisitive industrial designer based in Istanbul, Turkey who graduated from Eskisehir Technical University (formerly known as Anadolu University) in 2021. I'm a Junior industrial designer at Silicon Valley start-up ACTON Global right now and I'm responsible for visualization and UI/UX design as well as industrial design.

I've been shortlisted by ProCarton Young Designers Award in 2020 with my sustainable hygiene dispenser and I came in first place in the student category in a local competition by the biggest porcelainware company in Turkey called Kütahya Porselen in 2021.

I've established an industrial design studio called Nest Studio with one of my collegues in 2021. Our very first project Mimo created a tremendous impact among the internet, resulting us to be featured biggest magazines and sites such as Yanko Design, Pentawards, Dieline and Packaging of the World. We recently been shortlisted by Pentawards, 2022.

I would like to explain my understanding of design with a quote from Philip Starck, "Joy is a function". In my opinion, design should make life easier and fulfill the function of giving pleasure to people while doing it.
